Shepard By Wood in Baltimore/August 1823/Thomas Jefferson Shepard/aged 23" on a label affixed to the reverse. Watercolor, ink and gouache on card, 4 1/2 x 3 3 /4 in., unframed but contained in an old hinged case with red leather cover. Condition: Minor foxing and small paint losses.
