Janak Khendry (Indian (active Canada), b. 1938-), "Fragmented Circle"-1992, stainless steel sculpture with electrified motion, inscribed "J KHENDRY 92 (c)". Abstract sculpture of polished stainless steel depicting fragmented disk, composed of three separable components; with upper c-shaped piece of fragment of circle, with underside showing orange and blue enamel that perpendicularly intersects second separable component; second component of dissected disk form whose dissected section is complimentary to upper c-shaped piece; separable dark wood base with motion mechanism and power cord. With base approximate height 10.5", width 8", depth 7.75". Provenance: The Glass Art Gallery Inc., Toronto, Canada, whereby acquired by the Estate of Joseph Gilbert of Atlanta, Georgia on 9/20/1995.
