Needlework Genealogical Sampler of the Lewis Family, "Wrought by Caroline C. Lewis aged 7 1827," Pepperell, Massachusetts, worked in silk threads on a linen ground with rows of alphabets above four leaf bordered ovals stitched with the vital statistics of James Lewis, Jr., Esq. and his wife Harriet Parker, married January 17, 1819, and their three children, flanked by flowers, enclosed on three sides with cornucopia issuing undulating flowering vines, and sawtooth borders, (toning, fading), 17 1/4 x 16 3/4 in., in a period molded wood frame.
