Needlework Family Record Sampler, "Wrought by Hannah Buxton 1827," Weare, New Hampshire, executed in silk threads on a linen ground, depicting several rows of alphabets above the vital statistics of Joseph Buxton (b. April, 8, 1783, d. August 9, 1816), his wife Mary Osborn (b. June 2 1785), who were married February 28, 1809, and their three daughters, embellished with a heart, flowers and a geometric border, (minor fading, toning), 21 1/2 x 16 1/2 in., in a later molded bird's-eye maple frame. Note: A photocopied record of the Buxton family members, taken from the History of Weare New Hampshire, by William Little 1888, is affixed to the backing. Also included are various genealogical information of the Buxton and Osborn family members.
