Mahogany Quarter-Chiming Musical Bracket Clock, by John Taylor, London, with sarcophagus top, chamfered corners flanking the dial, brass trim and ogee bracket feet, 8-inch brass composite dial with applied spandrels, chapter section with Roman numerals, inner calendar ring and brass calendar hand, subsidiary dials in the arch for "Chime-Not Chime," "March," and "Hornpipe," and recessed boss engraved John Taylor, London , eight-day, three-train, nine-bell musical movement with verge escapement and fully engraved back plate, ht. 22 1/2 in., (losses). lacking fret work at top of case, finials, lattice sound vents on sides of sarcophagus, carrying handles, front door frets in dial arch and frets on both sides of the case, brass trim on the front of the sarcophagus and on the champhered corners; silvering on dial largely gone, movement needs an overhaul but appears to be complete, hands appear to be the original,
