Henton Brown Hour-strike Musical Bracket Clock, London, 18th century, mahogany domed and shaped case with four cast brass pineapple finials, full-length, Corinthian capital, tapered columns adorning each corner, arch-top glazed door above conforming scalloped-edge case bottom, cast brass side sound frets and bail handles, composite brass dial with engraved floral-decorated arch, silvered tune arch, engraved name boss reading "Hentn Brown/London," dual chime and strike silent indicators, applied silvered chapter ring, matted center, faux pendulum aperture, and calendar aperture, eight-day time and hour-strike, five-pillar fusee movement with verge escapement, pull quarter-repeat on ten bells, fully engraved back plate marked "Hentn Brown/London," regulated by a short bob pendulum, ht. 28 in. with finial. Estimate $7,000-9,000 case refinished, one replaced seating board screw, mechanism currently working properly. UPDATE 10-21 the hour strike is not functioning. Tunes are being played at each hour.
