Portrait Miniature of Captain Benjamin Larrabee, c. 1810, watercolor on ivory, oval bust-length portrait depicting the gentleman, reportedly Captain Benjamin Larrabee of Portland, Maine, shown wearing a blue coat, white shirt, and cravat, 2 x 1 3/4 in., (subtle paint discoloration on lower edge), housed in an oval copper case with a lock of hair in a compartment on the reverse. The miniature case has many dents on the back.
