Early Georgian Inlaid Walnut Chest on Chest, second quarter 18th century, with rectangular top and case, upper section with two short and three long drawers; lower section fitted with a brushing slide above three long drawers, lowermost inlaid with a mariner's compass in a concave indention, bracket feet, ht. 74, dp. 45 1/2, dp. 22 in. Overall very good condition; little shrinkage to crossbanding; some cracking to front of brushing slide; age typical defects and minor repairs; color a little thin.
