Federal Butternut Tall Clock, Ezra Batchelder, Danvers, Massachusetts, circa 1810, with fluted columns, rectangular waist door, bracket feet, 13 in. painted iron dial with raised gilt decoration, Arabic numerals and signed "Ezra Batchelder, Danvers," eight-day time and strike movement with wooden pendulum rod, cylindrical lead bob, and two lead weights, (imperfections), ht. 92 1/2 in. Minor paint losses on dial, bottom board broken but complete, some base blocking now screwed on, additional backing applied to backboard for support, original hands and mechanical components, fret, plinths, finials, feet and old surface on case.
