Needlework Family Record Sampler, attributed to Mary Ann Phillips, America, early 19th century, silk threads stitched to a linen ground with several rows of alphabets above a strawberry vine bordered reserve stitched with the names and birthdates of four members of the Phillips family: James, John, Mary Ann and William, probably siblings of Mary Ann, the oldest, the lower section with a house, fence, and trees, bordered on three sides with grape vines, (fading, toning), 20 3/4 x 16 1/4 in. , in a mahogany veneer frame.
