FRAMED ENGLISH NAVEL LINEN CLOTH WITH MOTIFS AND INSCRIPTIONS, C. 1880/1900, H 26", W 33":A central motif of a compass, is surrounded by text "England Expects That Every Man This Day Will Do His Duty"; cloth has a rope-style border, and includes motifs of sheet music and war imagery (soldiers, weaponry, drills/exercises, etc.). Paper on reverse is patterned by "The J.L. Hudson Company", and seal, along with "MacQ-4369-N-" in pencil and Hudson's Framing sticker on reverse.
