Chinese Court Vestment, ceremonial or official robe with silk and gold metal thread embroidery, depicting pattern of 4 clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls, similar dragons on shoulders, amidst clouds. The robe mounted to fabric board by large stitches. Lucite frame measures height 51", width 75", depth 2.75". Length of robe approximately 46.5".
