A Linea Sport brand firesuit given to Pelé by Brazilian Formula One driver Emerson Fittipaldi during the 1972 Formula One Grand Prix season. The silver suit features "E. Fittipaldi/ ORH+" embroidered in blue lettering above the right chest pocket. Stitched above the left chest pocket is a white patch with a Bardahl logo in black letters. Stitched into the interior of the suit is a Linea Sport manufacturer's tag. Pelé can be seen wearing the suit on the cover of the November 11, 1972, issue of Manchete magazine. On the cover of the magazine, a Varga patch can be seen stitched on the left chest pocket and a Brazilian flag patch on the right chest pocket. A stitching outline is on this suit where the Varga patch was previously attached. The Varga patch was removed at some point between the time the image on the cover was shot and when Pelé took possession of the suit. The Brazilian flag patch has also been removed from the suit but is present and is stored in one of the pockets of the suit. The suit is accompanied by a copy of the November 11, 1972, issue of Manchete magazine. $1,000-2,000 £700-1,400 Categories: PELÉ
