"Superior Adjustment"C. H. Meylan, Brassus, No. 5666. Made circa 1915.Very fine, 18K yellow gold minute repeating keyless pocket watch withsplit-seconds chronograph and register. Four-body, "bassine", polished, chronograph buttons in the band and crown, chronograph locking slide in the band. Dedicated hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track with fifth of a second indexes and red painted Arabic five minute/second numerals, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes Charles Henry Meylan. The C. H. Meylan Watch & Co. was founded in Le Brassus in 1880. Charles Henry Meylan was an eminent watchmaker, well known both in the United States and in Switzerland. In 1894, he was awarded the "Premier prix de réglage de l'Observatoire de Genève".
