“The Seashell” Toutlemonde a Paris, No. 1807. Made circa 1810. Fine, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set shell-form pendant watch with concealed dial. To be sold without reserve Two-body, “fermée” type, shell-shaped, spring-loaded front cover reveals the dial, both sides identically decorated with blue, white and black enamel, split-pearl set borders. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel “Breguet” hands. 23 mm, hinged, gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, silver regulation dial. Movement signed. Dim. 30 mm x 32 mm. Property of a Swiss Gentleman
