Very fine and rare, heavy 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch. Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe box, Certificate of Origin, hang tag, Patek Philippe (Japan) service guarantee card and a booklet. Three-body, bassine, entirely chased and engraved with foliate scrolls, the front cover also chased with a lion rampant holding a fl eur-de-lis staff. White with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Black "Louis XVI" hands. 17’’’ 170, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and fi ve positions, self compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 48 mm. Notes Mitsukoshi is one of the oldest department stores in Japan, having begun as a kimono shop in 1673. The lion statue, created in 1914, is one of the store's well-known symbols and can still be seen in front of the Mitsukoshi department store today. According to the consignor, this symbol was used by Patek Philippe especially to honor the Mitsukoshi store
