Boston or English wool and silk on linen needlework picture, late 18th c. , with typical central figure of a reclining shepherdess wearing a vertically striped dress with a basket, jug and staff at her feet and a shepherd wearing a black hat and red coat standing beside her, in an elaborate wooded landscape with house, man chopping wood, dogs, rabbits, birds, and flowers on rolling green lawn, 20 3/4" x 18 1/4".
