Made in 1984 to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the foundation of the city of St. Imier in 884AD. Fine, rectangular brass, single-handed keyless pocket watch. Accompanied by the original fitted box and certificate. To be sold without reserve Rectangular, copper-coloured, brushed, the front engraved with detail from the clock tower of Saint- Martin, the back with transparent aperture to view the movement and engraved “Saint-Imier, 100 ans de la Cite, DCCCLXXXIIII, MCMLXXXIIII”. Black with gilt radial Roman numerals, gilt sun center. Single gilt hand. Cal. L847 4, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating fl at balance spring, shock absorber. Movement signed. Dim. 54 x 41 mm
