Fine and unusual, 18K gold, rose diamond and paste-set, lady’s keyless pendant watch with mock pendulum and visible central balance Three-body, matte and polished, scalloped band, the back cover decorated with a rose diamond-set fl ower, glazed central aperture for the visible balance with paste-set surround. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions, surround in the form of a green enamel clock with gold paillon details, aperture for the mock pendulum. Gilt Louis XV hands. 23 mm, rhodium plated, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 30 mm. Notes This type of delightful novelty watch was made for the Chinese market between 1903 and 1909 by two manufacturers, W. Zumstein of Couvet and Charles Rengger of Fleurier.
