American, first half of 20th century. Rare carved wood and polychrome Drake Widgeon by Benz Wood Products Co., Jefferson City, Missouri, circa 1930s. Duck decoy with original paint. Duck Grand Prix model in in near mint condition and appears to never have been used in field regardless of being weighted. Decoy with brown scratch painted body with light blue and dark green to black wing tips, head with back spots on tan and brown glass eyes. This duck decoy is one of three known. Approximate height 6.75", width 16.75", depth 5.25".
