Three-body, bassine, polished, hinged and sprung front cover with red and blue champleve guilloche enamel monogram V & A, back cover opening to reveal the calendar. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic fi ve minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Calendar dial: white enamel, annular, outer date ring and inner ring for the days of the week. Gold spade hands. 45 mm, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, 2 in screwed gold châtons, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance, index regulator, the calendar star-wheels geared to the center-wheel.
