Record "WWW", Ref. L 22969. Produced in the 1940's.Fine water-resistant stainless steel military wristwatch. two-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back stamped with "W.W.W.", the "broad arrow" and the numbers. black with radium-coated Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds dial. "Epée" radium-coated hands. Notes The WWW version was used by the British Forces during WWII. The Royal Air Force chose the model with white dial and auxiliary or center-seconds. Inside and outside the case back: the letters WWW, the "broad arrow" and the numbers. The "broad arrow" means that the watch was the property of the British government, and the WWW , in use from 1943 to 1958, stands for "Waterproof Wrist Watch".Similar watches are published in "Militari da Polso", by L.
