American School, late 19th century. "Girl With Her Dog", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Painting depicting a young girl lounging in an interior setting with her black and white dog, the dog resting easily on its belly as the child lays over it while closing her eyes, the girl wearing a blue dress over white shirt and having short, curly blonde locks, the room with open window to right revealing a finely painted mountainous landscape. Framed approximately 32.5" x 37.25", unframed approximately 24.75" x 30.125".
