Four-body, "bassine et filets", back decorated with an American Eagle entirely set with diamonds, rubies and sapphires, gold hinged cuvette. White enamel, Roman numerals, recessed center, outer minute track, sunk sub-seconds. Blued steel "American Spade" hands. 18 size, nickel, full plate, elaborately damascened, 17 jewels, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic com-pensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, Moseley and Hunter micrometric regulator.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 54 mm. Notes It is said that the eagle was used as a national emblem following one of the first battles of the Revolution.
