Sold for:
12,650 HKD

Ed. Peter, Lucerne, circa 1910. Very fine and unusual 18K gold and gun metal, keyless quarter repeating watch. Three body, massive, "Empire" with gold rims and reeded band, the back engine-turned in a peacock feather pattern. Hinged gun metal cuvette. Gilt brass engine-turned with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Gun metal watches in such good condition are extremely rare, even more so when with engine-turned back. Peacock feather pattern is very unusual for engine-tu rning.
