Howard Norton Cook (American, 1901-1980) The Desert Tree , alternatively titled Mexican Landscape , 1933, from the edition of 250 published by Associated American Artists, New York, 1941, (Duffy, 177). Signed "Howard Cook" in pencil l.r., identified on a label from AAA affixed to the backing. Etching and aquatint on paper, plate size 8 7/8 x 11 7/8 in., framed. Condition: Toning, water staining, soiling or mold to margins, puncture to right margin and just into image, brown paper tape to three edges on the reverse.
