Nine city plans run across the top in small ovals, scenes of Syrians, Arabs, Persians, Sumatrans, Javans, Chinese, Moscovites and others depicted in ethnic outfits flank the sides, and ships sail the seas, from the Horn of Africa to Japan, north to the Arctic circle and south to Java.
