Art Nouveau Silver-plate and Mother-of-pearl Figural Lamp, Germany, late 19th/early 20th century, mark of Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), the base formed as a scantily clad nymph reaching upward towards the shade formed by a large nautilus shell, bottom stamped "as WMFB I/0," ht. 13 3/4 in. age darkening to metal (possibly lacquered with tarnish below). electrified. natural irregularlities to shell, and some edge chipping at front edge. tape reside to exterior front of shell.
