Tiffany Studios Leaded Glass and Bronze "Elaborate Peony" Lamp Shade and Base, c. 1910, the shade stamped Tiffany Studios, New York 1903, the shade with overall design in striated patterns of red and lavender peonies within shoots of various toned green leafy foliage all generously intruding over a two-band ribbon-glass format in the lower border; the base of tree form with rusticated surface and circular base, stamped Tiffany Studios New York, 553, ht. 33, dia. of shade 22 1/4 in. Overall very good to excellent, with small cracks as follow: crack to one of the rectangular border panels. crack to a thin green petal, a pink petal, and an orange area near lower rim. hairline to a mottled pink petal, a thin red petal, and the top of a thin chartreuse petal in body area. Two small flakes to edge of one red petal (one approx. 1/8", the other approx. 1/4"), possible occuring during manufacture. Three cracks to top layer of glass, not showing at underside of shade in three areas (two thin pink petals, and a gree area), possibly occuring in manufacture?
