North American Northwest Coast Tlingit-style Carved Walnut Rocking Chair, early 20th century, stepped cresting carved with totem-form finials and mounted with marine ivory teeth, backrest carved with stylized masks and oceanic motifs, the curved and paneled arms, apron, legs and rockers carved with stylized motifs. Finish worn to arms and with loss of color; one tooth missing to cresting; very good overall. Height: 40 1/4 in. Wd. 24 in. Depth of rockers: 32 1/4 in.
