Fine Victorian Carved Rosewood "Master of the Hunt" Parlor Armchair, c. 1860, oval padded backrest within a frame carved elaborately with a stag hunt and oak leaves, acorns and C-scrolls, padded arms and boar head hand-holds, overupholstered seat, apron carved with a hunt-themed still-life, on cabriole legs ending in casters, seat ht. 16, wd. 20, dp. 24 in. Cresting with old repairs and some shrinkage; else only minor, age typical defects; carving A+; good color. back height is 44 1/2"
