American School, 20th century. "Abstract Horse with Figure", oil on canvas, indistinguishably signed lower left, possibly "Klaeyk". The cartoonlike painting with orange horse at center with elongated neck and snout from which descends a humane figure in blue, the figure resembling a wooden figure model with flat delineated arms, head, torso, pelvis, and legs, the horse with a spoked wheel vehicle on his back , the entire scene set within an abstracted field of pink, yellow, blue, and orange with the faint outlines of buildings to left. Framed approximately 27.5" x 39.5", unframed approximately 24" x 36".
