Eight-Day Longcase Clock by William Jourdain, London, c. 1765, the composite brass dial with silvered chapter ring and name boss, cast brass spandrels, matted center and "strike-no strike" lever, eight-day time and strike, five pillar movement with rack and snail strike and recoil escapement, pendulum and two cast iron weights, the associated case with scoll top, turned finials, free standing columns flanking hood door, rectangular waist door and French feet, ht. 96 in. Movement associated with case, case probably of New Jersey origin, circa 1815; case refinished and replacement finials; no significant repairs or replacements on movement or dial; weights are modern replacements.
