Two Pairs of Gilded and Carved Wood Wall Decorations, 19th century, a giltwood pair formed as a clusters of fruit topped by a ribbon, lg. 10 1/4, and a gilt gesso pair formed as a baskets filled with fruit, lg. approx. 10 1/4 in. giltwood pair good, very bright, with minimal loss to gilding. gilt gesso pair with slight variation to fruit within basket, rubbing down to rouge at basket area. one with spots of flaking down to base wood at fruit, the other with chips to base of basket, and with two of the fruits completely painted over with gold paint. pendant section below basket married.
