Fine and rare silver and gilt oval single-hand pendant watch, with concealed dial. 38.2 x 28.1mm, oval, gilt brass full plate, early Egyptian pillars, fusee and gut-line for the going train, verge escapement, two-arm steel balance, elongated gilt pinned cock, pierced and engraved with asymmetrical floral and foliate decoration, wheel and click set-up covered with pierced and engraved cock.Signed on the movement.Dim. 44 x 30 mm. Published in the Sandberg book, pages 46-47. Notes Volant Nicolas, Paris, 1592, Rue St-Honoré.In 1612 he was a member of the jury which named the watchmakers for the city of Paris.
