French, 20th century. Matched pair of Louis XV style walnut carved bergeres, both having a foliate carved crest rail over the upholstered back, arms and seat, the serpentine seat rail similarly carved and raised on raised on cabriole legs carved at the knee with foliage and terminating on scrolled toes. Height 38.25", width 28" (arm to arm), seat depth 21", seat height 17".
