James Abbott McNeill Whistler (American, 1834-1903) Vauxhall Bridge, 1861, second state of two (Kennedy, 70). Signed and dated in the plate, a label from Doll and Richards, Boston, on the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 2 5/8 x 4 1/2 in. (6.5 x 11.3 cm), framed. Condition: Margins over 1/2 inch, not examined out of frame. There are several pin-point fox marks, including to to the image near the center of the lower edge. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no additional visible issues to report.
