Pair of Wedgwood Majolica Figural Spills, England, c. 1866, each polychrome decorated and modeled with a child leaning on a large basket on a naturalistic oval base, impressed mark, ht. 6 3/4 in. Literature: Illustrated in Majolica by N. Dawes, figure 165. Spill with boy: restorations to a basket handle and rim; glaze roughness to rim of small basket in foreground. Spill with girl: restored rim chip to basket; slight flake to rim of small basket in foreground.
