Thomas Satterwhite Noble (American, 1835-1907) Forgiveness Signed "T... ." l.l. Oil on canvas, 50 x 60 in. (127 x 152.4 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch primarily to l.l. quadrant, minor losses along frame liner. Overall size including frame is approximately 61 1/2 x 76 3/4 in. The lining is adhered with wax, and there is a solid support sandwiched between the old and new canvases. The retouch is scattered dashes and strokes, some of which are visible without UV. The craquelure is stable.
