Sunderland Pink Lustre Items, England, 19th century, a jug, enamel decorated black transfers, one side with a titled depiction of the ship "Northumberland '74," the reverse with "A West View of the Iron Bridge at Sunderland," a verse under the spout "The loss of gold is great, The loss of time is more; But losing Christ is such a loss, As no man can restore.", ht. 8 1/4; and a self-framed rectangular shaped plaque with copper lustre bordering water drop lustre frame, black transfer printed verse "For men dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the Ghost and where is he.", 7 1/2 x 8 3/8 in. Sizable restoration to a side rim and to spout.
