Eastern European Metallic-thread and Velvet Panel, 18th century, with two panels depicting the Holy Family and St. George and the Dragon, with green velvet borders, framed, 31 x 12 3/4 in. most of the nap/pile of the velvet worn away. Age darkening and wear. the two round panels with what appears to be machine stitching, likely applied to stabilize loose threads. mounted into shadowbox frames (appears tacked to the back of the four corners) [not examined out of frame].
