Fine American Eastlake "Standard Grade" Burl Walnut and Parcel-gilt Wooton Desk, c. 1874, spindle-inset cresting and rectangular back panel above a pair of paneled doors opening to an elaborate fitted interior with forty small drawers built into the right door, the left door with a letter box and a plethora of document slots and pigeonholes; the interior fitted with bird's-eye maple veneered fall-front enclosing an interior of small drawers and slots all above four drawers and eight vertical and horizontal slots, on an angular base, incised overall with geometric and foliate devices, ht. 69, wd. 43, dp. 32 in. Very good to excellent condition. Only very minor usage wear.
