Painted Wooden Toy "L. Smith & Co. DRY GOODS and CARPETS" Cart and Horse, probably Germany, late 19th century, the cart painted red, yellow, and black, accompanied by a hide-covered wooden horse figure with inset glass eyes, leather reins and harness, mounted on a wheeled platform, (imperfections), ht. 11 1/4, 10 3/4 in. Cart- minor paint wear on edges, horse- much of the hair is worn off the hide, mane, and tail, reins broken, part of harness missing.
