22kt Greek Gold Tusk Ring, Ilias Lalaounis, designed as a pair of minotaur horns, size 6 1/2, signed. Note: This ring belongs to Lalounis' "Paleolithic/Neolithic Collection," a line of jewels inspired by the "dawn of art" as evidenced by the artifacts of primitive man found in the caves of the Dordogne, the Greek Aegean islands, and Australia. The purity of the forms is meant to evoke "the early beauties dating from the childhood of the human species." See lot 561 for provenance.
