Dutch Painted and Parcel-gilt Sled Chair, 19th century, with turned push-bar, painted with cattle, peasant scenes, with gold painted floral borders, lg. 38 in. Overall fair to good condition; all painted panels with shrinkage cracks and minor paint losses along the same; scattered chips and minor losses throughout; one sled runner with heavily chewed end; minor worming, handle not painted same color but apparently original; however, the uprights below the handle may have been reduced. Most of the gilding has been overpainted with gold paint.
