Two Framed Samplers, late 19th century, a Continental example stitched by "Dona Dorotea Gazano y Garcia," c. 1892, the alphabet and numeral band over band of stags, hounds, and other motifs, over two bands of floral and geometric patterns, wool and silk threads, sight size 20 7/8 x 16 1/8; the other with wool threads only, stitched with alpahbet and numeral bands over tree and vases, shadowbox frame, sampler 16 1/4 x 11 1/4 in.
