Continental School, 19th/20th Century Two Framed Works: Saint with Angel and Two Putti Fishing Saint signed indistinctly "... Piati" l.r., signed or inscribed "Piatti" in ink, "...Piatti" in charcoal, and dated "1798" in pencil on the reverse, ink and conte crayon on laid paper, 5 x 7 1/4 in. (12.5 x 18.3 cm); Putti unsigned, oil on canvas, trimmed and partially mounted to paperboard, 8 7/8 x 12 3/8 in. (22.5 x 31.2 cm). Condition: Saint hinged in two places on the reverse (one side detached), paper trimmed, Putti with rippling to canvas, surface grime.
