Louis XV Marble-top Mahogany Commode, France, 18th century, the rectangular top over conforming case with parcel-gilt monopodia and fitted with three long crossbanded drawers, on square, tapered feet, ht. 37 1/2, wd. 51, dp. 24 in. Veneer losses to drawers, vertical cracks both ends, losses to gilt on both monopodia and chip resulting in loss of a toe on one. Usage wear (water ring) to marble top.
