Tall Stoneware Pottery Jar, probably southeastern United States, elongated ovoid form with lug handles, "tobacco spit" alkaline glaze, (shallow chip to underside of one handle), ht. 16 in. Underside of handle chip about 1 in., lg., a few minor small glaze flakes on rim, and several unobtrusive larger glaze losses around base edges.
