Turned Burl Bowl with Stone Fruit, 19th century, deep round burl bowl, the exterior with traces of green paint containing sixteen carved and painted stone fruit comprising a pomegranate, banana, lemon, guava, tangerine, apple, pear, a fig, a peach, and seven plums, (imperfections), bowl ht. 4 1/4, dia. 13 1/2 in. Slightly open horizontal crack around curved area of base about 4 1/2 in. lg., slightly open vertical crack from rim about 2 1/4 in. lg. another -not open- about 1/2 in. lg. from rim; several pieces of fruit with chips and paint losses, the fig with repaired chip about 1 1/4 in dia.
